Construct a classic pleated pant or one with a contoured band & learn basic concepts of pant construction: how to read a pattern, take proper measurements & alter your pattern for a better fit. Instruction includes fitting & pattern alteration, fly front zipper, tailored & contoured waistband. Create a Master Pant Pattern by first constructing a pant sloper to determine individual alterations. Students will then construct a finished pant.
Knowledge of sewing machine operation and prior garment garment construction experience is strongly recommended. Sewing at home expected. INTERMEDIATE
