Sending Hugs and Reaching Everywhere
S.H.A.R.E. (Sending Hugs and Reaching Everywhere) might just fit you perfectly.
The S.H.A.R.E. group meets once a month, on the third Wednesday of each month from 1pm—6pm. Some of the groups that have benefited from S.H.A.R.E.’s efforts are Multicare & Good Sam Hospital, Hospice in Tacoma, and Lifecare Center in Puyallup as well as a homeless shelter in Spokane.
Some of the projects created include:
- Hats & scarves for cancer patients
- Walker bags for hospice
- Cuddle Quilts for children in need
- Much more!
Don’t sew? No problem! Come cut, iron, package kits, or give some encouragement!
Projects are easy to sew and a great community spirit abounds!

Sure wish there was an evening group in Federal Way.
Sounds like a great group! Already tied up every Wednesday teaching kids to sew, or I would join you sometimes
Hope you start one in Federal Way. Sounds so wonderful
Wish there was 1 in the evening or Tuesday or Thursday.
Thanks for the responses ladies. If you would like to get monthly updates on our group, be sure to scoot me out an e-mail and I will add you to our mailing list. (We do no share that info with anyone else). We may start another group that meets in the evening, if there is enough interest.
Sounds like fun. Do we just show up? Need to bring a machine?
Jackie, you might want to get on our e-mail list (we do not share this with anyone). I send out a notice prior to each meeting to let the gals know what I am bringing to work on and what you might want to bring in the way of sewing tools such as pins, pincushion and scissors. It also helps me to know how many are planning on coming so I can set up the machines and tables, etc.and have everything ready for you! That way you can just come and sew! You can do that at sendinghugs@comcast.net
Come as you are! Feel free to use the machines @ the store. See you at September’s meeting.
