| Staff: Learn to Use Your Computerized Sewing Machine
This class will acquaint you with the features of your computerized sewing machine. We will go over threading, winding the bobbin, selecting and changing stitches, changing accessory feet, routine maintenance and troubleshooting. If your machine has built-in memory learn to combine and store patterns. Bring your machine, the accessories it came with, instruction manual, scissors, a spool of thread and any questions you may have. Be sure to sign up for the class associated with your sewing machine brand. Machine Usage Classes are on-going at each store location. FREE no matter when or where you purchased your machine! This class will acquaint you with the new features of your computerized embroidery machine. We will go over hooping techniques, stabilizing fabric, selecting and positioning designs, stitching designs, and lots more. Bring your machine, the accessories it came with, instruction manual, scissors, assortment of embroidery thread and any questions you may have. Be sure to sign up for the class associated with your sewing machine brand. Pre-requisite: Computerized Sewing or staff permission. | Staff: Learn to Use Your Mechanical Sewing Machine
This two hour session will acquaint you with all the basic functions of your non-computerized machine. You will learn basic threading, bobbin winding, settings for all stitch functions, stitch variations, use of the included accessory feet and how to make a buttonhole. We will also show you basic machine maintenance. Bring your machine, accessories, scissors and spool of thread. Machine Usage Classes are on-going at each store location. In this session, you will learn the basics of using your Serger. We will go over threading for 2, 3, and 4 thread stitches. We will also cover cleaning, maintenance, and stitch quality troubleshooting. This class is for the owner of any brand of standard serger (this excludes Baby Lock air threading). Bring your machine, the accessories it came with, the operating manual and scissors. Bring four spools of thread (one for each thread position) and your questions.
