If you sewed on a Pfaff from long ago, and are wanting a new machine that truly sews like a Pfaff, only BETTER, this machine is for you!

This machine sews like a dream! It makes very smooth transitions between thicknesses of fabric and sews straight seams on its' own. Honest! You simply need to provide a light touch on feeding in the fabric, from in front of the needle - as we were taught to do.

The IDT system feels like it works better, like the original, because it does. The original system always kept my fabrics perfectly aligned, while most of the more recent Pfaffs seemed to have a problem with that. This new generation of machine has a new feed-dog method that re-establishes the original feeding process. It keeps my fabric perfectly aligned once again!

The other things I love most about this machine are the start/stop button, which allows foot-free sewing and the general ease of use. I also appreciate being able to purchase just the sewing portion, without the embroidery unit. Although, if I needed a new embroidery unit, I would certainly purchase this one as it is also an incredible piece of technology.

I have to admit, I have not done my homework on pricing, but Paul has always been extremely fair in this regard. If and when he is able to mark the cost down from Pfaff's required selling point, he does. (Posted on 9/24/12)
