I bought this machine 5 months ago. I'd never had a computerized sewing machine before. I've been an active sewist all my adult life and while I am quite skilled on my smaller, older mechanical machine, I am having a ton of fun with this machine. I love that I don't have to mess with tension. The factory presets are perfect. I've never had a machine with so many different stitches at my fingertips. There is a learning curve to the operation of the machine, but the process is quite intuitive.

I'm gradually starting to use the embroidery and that is all kinds of fun. But I did buy the machine primarily for sewing. The embroidery function does not disappoint though and I can see myself using it more in the future.

Oh, I've also been inspired to attend the Sew Fun meetings each month. I was lucky enough to win a year's membership last fall. I truly look forward to each session and recommend it to all sewing hobbyists.

The classes offered at the store (Kirkland), really help. Also, I have to say that everyone at this store is wonderful. We have been customers there since we bought our first vacuum, back when the store was quite new and was known as Eastside sewing and Vacuum. Service and friendliness is top notch here.
