Instructor: Chelsea Cook
Chelsea’s interest in sewing started over 22 years ago and was based on fashion. Her desire to have clothes that were tailored to her body or a style that she couldn’t find in stores led her to sewing. She found that creating her own clothes allowed her to get the look she really wanted.
When teaching Chelsea enjoys seeing students who fear projects won’t “turn out” gain the confidence to not only complete the project but often go off pattern and create something completely unique. Chelsea uses her sewing skill as a Costume Designer in Seattle and beyond. She has designed for at Village Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle Opera community outreach projects, Book-It and Second Stage Theatre (Off-Broadway), Arts Emerson (Boston) and George Street Playhouse (New Jersey). She would love to meet you and share her love of sewing with you.
Come meet Chelsea at one of her upcoming classes!
