Nancy Dirksen: Hoop Sisters Class

August's Project!

Candice Jewett: Serger Cafe Class - Silverdale

Lydia Stevenson: Quick Quilts Class by Lydia

Participants will learn to make quick and easy pieced quilted projects such as table runners, candle mats, hot pads; home decorations, gifts, and more!

JULY: The five blocks in this runner may look very difficult, but I promise you'll love working with fabric strips and a 90-degree quarter square triangle ruler. Sewing four of the cut triangle pieces creates an 8-1/2" block. Just by using different fabrics in your strip will give your runner a unique look.

The finished size is approximately 48" x 16". You can shorten or lengthen this runner by making fewer or more blocks and adjusting the borders and binding.

AUGUST: This is a “techniques class” in quarter-square triangles to create simple patterns. We will create a quilt top for you to use in any way you choose. The sample uses the same background fabric for the triangle units, squares and borders so the orange pieces appear to “float.” It is destined to be a table topper with a backing cotton fabric and simple serged edges to join the top and bottom. You can choose the destiny of your piece.

The sample finished size is approximately 50” square. Yours can be any size or dimension you wish.
