Spoil yourself by attending our 3-Day Sewing & Quilting Retreat! Imagine how delightful it will be to spend three full days of sewing, quilting, and learning tips and techniques. During the retreat you will enjoy 4 different hands-on classes taught by experts in the sewing industry. You will work on your own machine for 3 of the hands-on classes, and 1 class will be two people per machine.

If first-class education is not enough, your retreat package will include snacks, lunch each day, class materials, and time to meet our special guest Amanda Murphy. During Amanda's lectures, you will also get to see her trunk show and learn how she goes about planning her projects and quilting.

We provide everything: machines, kits, and project supplies. Plus refreshment breaks and catered lunch each day.

Hands-On Classes

Hands-on Class: Flora Mini Mat

Instructor: Christy Burcham

Make a cheerful mat perfect for your coffee — and a cookie, too! Featuring fabrics from Amanda Murphy’s upcoming collection “Flora and Fauna”, this project includes piecing rectangles plus a four-patch diamond. Applique your diamond and see firsthand the benefits of the BERNINA Pinpoint Laser for applique. Next you’ll quilt the project in the hoop, taking advantage of the powerful customizable quilting feature with BQM designs from Amanda Murphy. You’ll also get a chance to easily quilt in both diamond and rectangle shapes with the 4-Point and Morph functions.

Hands-on Class: Serger Runner

Instructor: Pam Mahshie

Quilting has come a long way over the years, and this project will take you to the next level. Make blocks without having to use a rotary cutter, add embellishments, and quilt using your serger in ways you never thought of. It’ll be fun!

Hands-on Class: Ruler Work Quilting Straight Lines and Circles

Instructor: Amanda Murphy

Use straight line and circle templates to make your quilting sing! Straight and circle rulers are my absolute favorite quilting tools because of their versatility and ease of use. From variations on cross-hatching, to pebbles and scallops, learn how to use them to create many designs and variations!

Hands-on Class: Foot Frenzy

Instructor: Sandra Swick

Join in the presser foot frenzy! In this hands-on class, you will get to try out several different presser feet and accessories to create a one-of-a-kind wall art sampler. Experience techniques like creating custom cording and piping, attaching ribbon, corded satin stitching, decorative stitch circles, and decorative stitch seaming. Want to try these techniques?
