The Juki TL-2000Qi, also written TL2000QI or TL-2000Q, is a straight-stitch sewing and quilting machine with 1,500 SPM, a 23" extended work area, and aluminum die-cast construction. The automatic thread cutter, true drop feed, and 12mm foot lift handle large quilts and heavy materials.
Industrial Speed, Home Machine Format
At 1,500 stitches per minute, the TL-2000Qi sews faster than most domestic machines. The aluminum die-cast body absorbs vibration and keeps the machine stable at high speeds. This construction also adds durability for years of heavy use.
23-Inch Extended Work Area
The included auxiliary extension table expands the work surface to 23 inches. Queen-size quilts and large home decor projects have room to spread out without bunching or dragging. The flat, stable surface supports even fabric feeding across the entire width.
Precision Needle Area
The needle area provides clear visibility for accurate stitch placement. LED lighting illuminates the work surface without generating heat. The thread path runs smoothly from spool to needle, maintaining consistent tension at all speeds.

I have a TL2010 that I worked like crazy for 3 years, finally took it in for professional cleaning & adjustments. Looked at many other machines to buy a back up, but always came back to the TL’s. So I bought a TL2000 for my back up machine. With the thread cutter in the foot pedals, I cannot sew on anything else! Is the Juki TL-2000Qi a straight-stitch only machine?
Yes. One stitch only: a clean, consistent straight stitch.
That is the whole point. The straight-stitch focus is what lets it run at 1,500 stitches per minute with the consistency quilters and garment sewers rely on.
What it won't do: zigzag, decorative stitches, or buttonholes. If you need those, pair it with a multi-function machine. But for piecing, garment construction, and free-motion quilting, very few machines at this price come close.
Is the Juki TL-2000Qi good for quilting?
Very. It's one of the most popular quilting machines at its price point.

Does the Juki TL-2000Qi come with an extension table?
Yes, it's included in the box. The table brings the total work surface to 23 inches, one of the main reasons quilters pick it over smaller home models.

Is the Juki TL-2000Qi right for a beginner?
It depends on the beginner.
The TL-2000Qi does one thing, straight stitch, so there's no built-in stitch variety, no buttonholes, and no touchscreen prompts. It does include a push-lever automatic needle threader and an automatic thread trimmer, but threading and tension still take a little hands-on practice, especially at full speed.
That said, if you already sew mostly straight lines, whether quilting, garment work, or home decor, it will serve you far better long-term than a basic starter model. It's built to last, and our staff can walk you through setup in store or over the phone.
