The Pfaff Piping Foot (820532-096) makes inserting piping into your seams easy and professional. Whether you’re using pre-packaged piping or making your own, this foot helps create a crisp, tailored finish along garment edges, home décor accents, and more.
Inserting Packaged Piping:
- Snap on the Piping Foot.
- Place piping along the seam line on the right side of the fabric. Then place the second piece of fabric on top, right sides together.
- Align the layers under the foot, placing the piping in the groove on the underside of the foot. Stitch with a straight stitch, length 2.5.
Making Your Own Piping:
- Cut bias or crosswise grain strips wide enough to cover the cord plus seam allowance.
- Lay the cord on the wrong side of the strip and fold the fabric over it.
- Place under the Piping Foot with the cord in the groove and stitch—the foot guides the cord for even coverage.
TIP: When sewing your piping into a project, adjust your needle position one setting closer to the cord to hide the first stitching line.
Machine Compatibility:
This foot works with Pfaff machine groups: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J, K
