FAQs

What should I look for when choosing a sewing cabinet?

Size is the first thing to check. Measure your machine (length, width, and height) and compare it to the cabinet's insert opening. Most Arrow and Kangaroo cabinets use custom acrylic inserts sized to specific machine models. Also consider whether you want a hydraulic or electric lift, built-in storage, and whether the cabinet folds flat when not in use.

What is the difference between a sewing cabinet and a sewing table?

A sewing cabinet has an enclosed body with a lift mechanism that lowers your machine into the surface for flat-bed sewing. A sewing table is an open-frame surface that your machine sits on top of. Cabinets offer more storage and a flush sewing surface. Tables like the Arrow Gidget are lighter, fold flat, and cost less.

Do sewing cabinets fit all sewing machines?

Not all machines fit all cabinets. Each cabinet model accepts a specific range of machine sizes, and most require a custom acrylic insert matched to your machine's dimensions. Koala, Arrow/Kangaroo, and Horn all publish insert compatibility lists. Contact us if you need help finding the right fit for your machine.
