This is my version of what every beginner should learn. It's a perfect first project!
We will be making a 4-block sampler: two pieced blocks, one applique block and one paper pieced block, with lattice and borders. We will talk about rotary cutting, proper use of quilting rulers and the various methods of piecing in detail. We will be discussing applique options, paper piecing, as well as hand quilting, machine quilting and finishing. The goal is teach skills and knowledge that builds a lasting love for quilting.
