Bernina 770 QE PLUS: Precision Quilting, Sewing, and Embroidery

The Bernina 770 QE PLUS pairs the BERNINA Stitch Regulator with a 10-inch freearm, 9mm stitch width, and Dual Feed. The touch screen controls sewing and embroidery modes, Pinpoint Placement, and custom stitch combinations saved to USB.

BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR)

The BSR foot maintains uniform stitch length during free-motion sewing and quilting, even at variable speeds. The 770 QE PLUS offers three BSR modes, including BSR 3 for quilt basting at 2 or 4 stitches per inch. Both straight and zigzag stitches are supported.

Extended Freearm with 10 Inches of Space

The 10-inch freearm (254mm to the right of the needle) gives you room to manage full-size quilts and large garments during free-motion work. A practical extension table is included in the standard package to expand the work surface even further.

Embroidery with Pinpoint Placement

Switch to embroidery mode directly from the touch screen to position, mirror, rotate, and resize motifs. Pinpoint Placement lets you set the exact location of your design on the fabric. Finished designs save to the machine or a USB stick, and additional designs can be imported through the USB port.

BERNINA Dual Feed

The Dual Feed system feeds fabric from both the top and bottom for even movement through layers. It keeps knits from stretching and prevents fabric shifting on slippery or heavyweight materials. When not needed, it tucks fully out of the way.

Adaptive Thread Tension

BERNINA Adaptive Thread Tension monitors and adjusts tension automatically as you sew. Once you set the tension for your thread and fabric, the system keeps it consistent through the entire project. Both sides of the fabric get clean, balanced stitches without manual adjustment.

Total Stitch Control

Adjust stitch length, stitch width, and needle position, and the machine remembers your settings. Save personal stitch configurations and retrieve them later. The USB port lets you import, export, and share stitch patterns and combinations.

Automatic Convenience Features

The presser foot lowers on its own at the start of a seam. Threading is semi-automatic, and the automatic thread cutter trims at the end of a seam or when changing embroidery colors. Color resequencing lets you group embroidery sections by thread color to reduce changes.

Smart Drive Technology Embroidery Module

The optional extra-large embroidery module includes Smart Drive Technology (SDT) for improved stitch quality, quieter operation, and up to 55% faster embroidery speed. It supports larger motifs and comes standard with the B 790 PLUS.

9mm Stitch Width

The 9mm maximum stitch width opens up more decorative stitching options and wider seam finishes. Combined with embroidery design editing, you can alter stitch density, preview alternative color options, and resequence designs by color before stitching out.
