The Bernina Q 16 PLUS is a sit-down longarm quilting machine with 16.5 inches of throat space, a color touchscreen, and the BERNINA Stitch Regulator with three operating modes. It ships with the Studio Frame and is compatible with pantograph or Q-matic systems through the rear interface.

BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR)

The dual-mounted BSR sits below the machine head and operates in three modes for consistent stitch length during free-motion quilting. It adjusts automatically as you change speed and direction, keeping stitches even on curves, straight lines, and detailed designs.

16.5" Throat Space and Studio Frame

The 16.5-inch throat space gives you room to manage full-size quilts without constant repositioning. The included Studio Frame holds the quilt taut and provides programmable handles for controlling the machine head. The Q 16 PLUS is also available as a table model.

Color Touchscreen with Built-In Tutorials

The color touchscreen provides access to machine settings, stitch selection, and numeric digital tension control. Built-in tutorials walk you through setup and techniques directly on the screen. The presser foot tension release allows quick adjustments between projects.

Threading and Bobbin

The forward-positioned threading path keeps thread changes accessible from the front of the machine. The integrated bobbin winder lets you prepare bobbins without interrupting your quilting.
