Traditional longarms mount on a frame. The quilter moves the machine head across the quilt by hand or with an automation system. Sit-down models work more like a traditional sewing machine, where the quilter moves the fabric under a stationary needle.

Key differences:

• Traditional (Infinity, Amara 20, Amara 24, Moxie, Moxie XL): Handles larger quilts, pairs with Pro-Stitcher automation, requires more floor space.
• Sit-down (Moxie ST, Amara ST): Smaller footprint, familiar feel for quilters coming from a domestic machine.

The Amara line has a larger throat space and more advanced features than the Moxie line. The Amara 24 offers a 24-inch throat, while the Moxie XL has an 18-inch throat. Both are available in stand-up and sit-down configurations.

It loads, edits, and stitches digital quilting designs automatically, saving time on repetitive patterns and complex layouts. Pro-Stitcher Lite is also available as a more affordable entry point.
