Clean 6mm Rolled Hems on Light to Medium Fabrics
The Baby Lock 6mm Hemmer Foot creates a finished rolled hem by curling the raw fabric edge to the inside as you sew. The scroll-shaped guide on the front of the foot feeds the fabric into a tight roll, and the needle stitches through the folded edge to secure it. This produces a clean, narrow hem on blouses, scarves, table linens, and other light to medium-weight projects.
Tips
- Start by folding the first inch of fabric to feed it into the scroll
- Use a straight stitch for the cleanest result
- Works best on cotton, linen, silk and other light to medium fabrics
- Not suited for heavy or bulky materials
