Bernina L 460 Serger
The Bernina L 460 is a 2/3/4 thread serger built for fast, professional edge finishing and seam construction. It sews up to 1,500 stitches per minute with the BERNINA DC motor, and features like the Free-Hand System, Micro Thread Control, and color-coded threading paths keep setup and operation straightforward.
Free-Hand System (FHS)
The BERNINA Free-Hand System lets you raise and lower the presser foot with your knee. This gives you improved clearance under the foot and keeps both hands free to guide fabric through curves, corners, and tight spots.
Exact Speed Control
The DC motor and BERNINA foot control give you full speed range, from stitch-by-stitch precision to 1,500 stitches per minute. The automatic needle stop-up position keeps fabric secure between seams.
Micro Thread Control (mtc)
The patented mtc system finishes edges up to 9 mm wide with consistent stitch quality. Set your thread tension once, and it stays balanced even when you change cutting width or fabric thickness. This saves time and reduces manual adjustments between fabrics.
Easy Threading
Color-coded threading paths guide each thread to the correct position. The manual needle threader and lower looper threading support speed up thread changes and reduce the guesswork that comes with multi-thread machines.
Well-Lit Workspace
Two LED lights illuminate the needle area and threading paths for clear visibility. The included slide-on extension table adds workspace to the left of the needle, making it easier to guide larger fabric pieces.
Included Accessories
Commonly used accessories are stored in the looper cover for quick access. The included accessory box holds the seam guide, spool caps, and tools. Optional presser feet are available for specialized overlocking techniques.
