A Real Jean Jacket, Drafted Like Ready-to-Wear
Pattern 3110 is a misses, unlined, semi-fitted jacket built the way a manufactured jean jacket is: double princess seams front and back, yokes on both sides, and shaping that comes from the seams rather than from darts. That keeps the silhouette clean over the shoulder and through the waist. Five pockets in total: chest pockets with flaps, pockets set into the princess seams, and hidden inside pockets.
View A finishes with a waistband, cuffs, and nine 5/8in jeans buttons. View B uses stitched hems and seven 5/8in snaps for a softer, faster finish. Skill level is intermediate: the seams are straightforward individually, but there are a lot of pieces to keep in order.
