A No-Sew Bond Strong Enough to Skip the Stitching
UltraHold is the heavier of the two HeatnBond weights. Its no-sew bond is stronger than standard fusible web, so applique shapes stay put without a stitched edge and the raw edges do not need sealing. The adhesive is a solid sheet rather than a web, so coverage runs edge to edge and shapes lie flat instead of puckering where the adhesive thins out. You can draw or print applique shapes straight onto the paper liner; just reverse the artwork first, since the printed side ends up face down.
How to Apply It
Pre-wash without fabric softener and test a scrap first. Set the iron to medium with no steam, lay the adhesive paper-side up on the back of the fabric, and press each section for 2 seconds. Let it cool, cut the shape, peel the liner, position it adhesive-side down, and press firmly for 8 seconds per section.
