Fringe, Loops, and Fagoting Effects
The Baby Lock Fringe/Looping Foot has a raised bar that forms thread loops as you sew. Use a wide zigzag stitch to build up rows of loops that create fringe or chenille-like textures. The foot also works for heirloom fagoting, where two fabric strips are joined with an open, decorative ladder of stitches.
Techniques
- Fringe by sewing loop rows and cutting them after stitching
- Looped textures for decorative surface effects
- Fagoting for joining fabric strips with an open stitch pattern
- Can also be used for accurate pattern markings
