3mm Double Hems in a Single Pass
The Baby Lock Hemmer Foot creates a clean 3mm double hem by curling the fabric edge under twice as you sew. The scroll-shaped guide on the front of the foot feeds the raw edge into a tight fold, and the needle stitches through the folded layers to secure the hem. No pressing or pinning is needed.
Tips
- Fold the first inch of fabric manually to feed it into the scroll
- Works with straight or zigzag stitch depending on the look you want
- Best on lightweight fabrics like cotton lawn, batiste, silk, and linen
- Keep consistent speed for an even fold
