Bernette B64 AIRLOCK: Air Threading for Fast Serger Setup
The bernette B64 AIRLOCK serger threads the loopers automatically with an air threader. With 16 stitches, speeds up to 1,300 SPM, a freearm for sleeves and cuffs, and the bernette Free Hand System, setup and sewing are fast and hands-free.

- Used for the first time on a bernette machine, the MTC Micro Thread Control (MTC) saves you significant time and effort while ensuring consistent high-quality stitches, since you need only set thread tension once – even if you alter the cutting width and fabric thickness!
Lots of space thanks to the large working area (130 mm)
- The 130 mm space right of the needle gives overlocking another dimension. The large working area is ideal for leading and catching heavy sewing projects behind the needle and gives you the space for all tasks in the needle and looper area: changing the presser foot, attaching upper looper converter and much more.
Freearm:
- Sewing tubular projects such as cuffs, legs and necklines will be easy thanks to the freearm.
Super-large slide-on table:
- The easy-to-attach and included slide-on table makes sewing and fabric guiding even more comfortable, especially for large sewing projects. The fabric will glide smoothly over the rounded shaped table.
Free Hand System (FHS):
- With the included knee lifter, your hands remain free to comfortably position the fabric under the presser foot. Furthermore, you can easily lift the presser foot with your knee by pushing the lifter to the right.

No. The b64 AIRLOCK is an overlocker with 16 overlock stitches using 2, 3 or 4 threads. For coverstitch and overlock in one machine, look at the bernette b68 AIRLOCK.
How does the air threading work?
Press the button and the automatic air threader threads both loopers. Color-coded threading paths guide the needle threads, and a manual needle threader and threading wire are included.
How fast does the b64 sew?
It sews up to 1,300 stitches per minute, with stitch length adjustable while you sew. Five LED lights and 5.1 inches (130 mm) of throat space to the right of the needle keep the work area clear.
What is the Free Hand System?
The bernette Free Hand System is a knee lifter that raises the presser foot so both hands stay on the fabric. It is included, along with the Upper Looper Converter for 2-thread stitches.
