The bernette b48 Funlock combines a serger and coverstitch machine in one unit. 23 built-in stitches include 15 overlock, 3 coverstitch, 4 combo stitches, and a chain stitch for garment sewing, knits, and finishing work.

Color-Coded Threading

Color-coded threading guides on the front panel simplify setup for each thread path. Mechanical looper threaders handle the lower and chain loopers, and a manual needle threader speeds up needle threading. An adjustable lower knife operates from below the needle plate for safe, clean cuts.

Stitch Versatility

Overlock stitches range from 3 to 7 mm wide. Coverstitches are available in 2.8 mm and 5.6 mm widths. Combo stitches reach up to 10 mm for durable seams and hems, and roll hems go down to 1.5 mm for delicate finishes. Maximum sewing speed is 1,300 stitches per minute with an 87 mm working area to the right of the needle.
