The Bernina Cordonnet Foot #11 is designed for topstitching and decorative work with cordonnet thread or other thick topstitching threads. A 2 mm deep groove under the sole gives the heavier thread room to pass through without bunching or catching, producing clean, raised stitch lines.

Clean Results with Heavy Thread

Standard presser feet can struggle with thick decorative threads because there is not enough clearance under the sole. This foot solves that problem. It handles cordonnet, heavy polyester topstitching thread, and similar thick threads that would jam or skip under a regular foot. The foot also works well for sashiko stitching and other visible decorative seam techniques.
