The Bernina Pintuck Foot with 3 Grooves #30 is the widest-groove pintuck foot in the Bernina range, designed for bold pintucks on heavy fabrics like denim and linen. It uses a 4 mm double needle, producing wider, more pronounced tucks than the finer 5, 7, and 9-groove versions.
More Than Pintucks
Beyond standard pintucks, this foot is also useful for sewing mini-piping, elastic gathering, and couching braids and trim. The three grooves handle thicker cords and provide a stable channel for positioning decorative elements as you sew. Corded pintucks (with filler cord run through the grooves) produce an especially raised, defined look.
