The Bernina Straight Stitch Hemmer #64 (Old Style) folds and stitches a 4 mm double-fold hem in a single pass. A scroll on the front of the foot turns the fabric edge under twice, and a guide in the sole directs the folded edge to the needle for a straight-stitch seam. The finished hem moves smoothly under the foot for consistent results.

One Step, Two Folds

This foot replaces three separate operations (folding, pressing, stitching) with one continuous pass. The double fold prevents the raw edge from fraying, and the straight stitch locks it in place. For the cleanest results, pair this foot with the straight-stitch needle plate, which gives better fabric support at the stitch point.
