Bernina Zipper Foot with Non-Stick Sole #54
The Bernina Zipper Foot with Non-Stick Sole #54 is the non-stick version of the Zipper Foot with Guide. Its coated sole glides over leather, vinyl, plastic, and other sticky fabrics that would drag against a standard metal foot. Like Zipper Foot #14/14D, it includes an adjustable guide on top for straight, parallel stitching lines.
Guided Stitching on Difficult Materials
The wavy-shaped guide rides over zipper coils, holding the foot in position while you sew. Combined with the non-stick sole, this produces clean zipper installations on materials like leather jackets, vinyl bags, and coated canvas. The foot also works well for edge stitching and topstitching where one side of the seam is a sticky material.
