Brother Essence Innov-is VE2300: Dedicated Embroidery Machine
The Brother Essence Innov-is VE2300 is a dedicated embroidery machine with an 8" x 12" maximum embroidery area, 318 built-in designs, and a 7" LCD touch screen for on-screen editing and tutorials. An Ultrasonic Sensor Pen and Droplight LED Positioning Marker give you precise control over design placement before the first stitch drops. At 1,050 SPM with automatic thread trimming between color blocks, it handles multi-color projects efficiently.

318 Designs, 17 Fonts, and 140 Frame Combinations
The built-in library includes 318 embroidery designs with 13 bobbin work designs, 14 embroidery fonts, 3 Japanese embroidery fonts, and 140 frame pattern combinations. Additional designs are available through iBroidery.com, which offers over 5,000 purchasable patterns.

7" LCD Touch Screen with On-Screen Tutorials
The 7-inch color touch screen displays design previews, editing tools, and built-in tutorials. Large icons make navigation straightforward. Edit designs on screen, adjust sizing, rotate patterns, and preview stitch placement before committing to fabric.

Ultrasonic Sensor Pen and Droplight Positioning
The Ultrasonic Sensor Pen lets you touch a point on your fabric to position the embroidery design exactly where you want it. The Droplight LED Positioning Marker projects the needle drop point onto the fabric with pinpoint accuracy, removing guesswork from placement.

Large Workspace and Bright LED Lighting
The 11.25-inch workspace provides room for larger hooped projects. 10 inches of LED lighting illuminates the embroidery area at up to 50% brighter than most Brother machines, making it easier to see fine details and thread colors accurately.
Speed and Thread Management
The VE2300 embroiders at up to 1,050 stitches per minute. Automatic thread trimming cuts top and bobbin threads between color changes, reducing the need to stop and trim manually during multi-color designs.
Stitch Jumping and Design Navigation
Stitch jumping lets you move through a design up to 500 stitches at a time, making it fast to reposition within a pattern after a thread break or color check. This cuts down on downtime during complex, high-stitch-count projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Brother VE2300 sew as well as embroider?
The VE2300 is a dedicated embroidery machine, built for embroidery only. That is what buys you the 8" x 12" field and the placement tools at this price. If you want one machine that both sews and embroiders, look at the Brother VM5200, which shares the same 318 designs and 8" x 12" embroidery area and adds 715 sewing stitches.
How large a design can the VE2300 stitch, and which hoops are included?
The maximum embroidery area is 8" x 12", enough for a jacket back or a large quilt block in one hooping. Two embroidery frame sets are in the box: an 8" x 12" (SA447) and a 5" x 7". Larger designs can be split across hoopings on screen.
How does the VE2300 help place a design exactly where I want it?
Two tools work together. The Ultrasonic Sensor Pen lets you touch the fabric at the point the design should sit, and the machine moves the pattern there. The Droplight LED Embroidery Positioning Marker, built into the embroidery foot "W+", then projects the needle drop point onto the fabric so you can confirm placement before stitching.
How many embroidery designs and fonts are built in?
There are 318 built-in embroidery designs, including 13 bobbin work designs, plus 14 embroidery fonts and 3 Japanese fonts, and 140 frame pattern combinations. Thousands more designs are available to purchase through iBroidery.com.
Can the VE2300 do bobbin work?
Yes. A specialty bobbin case for bobbin work ships with the machine, and 13 of the 318 built-in designs are written for it. Bobbin work stitches heavier decorative threads from the bobbin, which is how you get a corded or textured look that will not feed through the needle.
How fast does it embroider, and how much light and space is there?
The VE2300 runs at up to 1,050 stitches per minute with automatic thread trimming between color blocks, including jump stitches. There is 11.25" of workspace to the right of the needle and 10" of LED lighting, up to 50% brighter than most Brother machines. The machine weighs 30.6 lbs.
What warranty comes with the Brother VE2300?
Brother covers the machine head and cast frame for 25 years, the electronics and printed circuit boards for 6 years, and parts and labor for 2 years. Quality Sewing adds a 1-Year Quality Sewing Warranty on top. Browse the full range of embroidery machines to compare.
