6" x 10" Embroidery Field
The large embroidery area lets you stitch bigger designs with fewer re-hoopings. The 8.3" distance from needle to arm gives you ample room to maneuver fabric during both sewing and embroidery. A compact faceplate improves visibility when changing needles or threading.
Embroidery and sewing speeds reach up to 850 stitches per minute, so projects move along quickly whether you're stitching out a large design or sewing a garment seam.
Sewing Stitch Library
The sewing side includes 291 built-in stitches, 10 styles of one-step auto-size buttonholes, and 5 sewing lettering fonts. The My Custom Stitch feature lets you combine and edit built-in stitches with your own custom patterns for a personalized stitch library.
Embroidery Design Library
On the embroidery side, 258 built-in designs include 140 frame pattern combinations and 13 lettering fonts for monogramming. The machine is also compatible with Brother's iBroidery platform, which offers over 5,000 additional designs for individual purchase in categories like Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars.
Wireless Design Transfer
Connect the NQ3550W to your wireless network and send embroidery designs from your PC using the free Design Database Transfer software. No USB cable or flash drive needed. The wireless connection also delivers software update notifications directly to the machine.
3.67" Color LCD Touchscreen
The sharp color display provides an intuitive interface for both sewing and embroidery modes. Edit designs on-screen with letter editing, enhanced zoom, resizing, rotating, repositioning, drag and drop, and design combining. Preview your layout before stitching to confirm placement and color order.
Automatic Height Adjuster (AHA)
The AHA feature maintains consistent presser foot pressure across varying fabric thicknesses. This keeps stitch length steady and produces uniform stitch quality even on uneven surfaces or layered fabrics, which is especially useful when quilting or embroidering on thicker materials.
Ready Out of the Box
