Ten Needles, Ten Colors, No Stopping
Ten independent needles each run their own thread color, so a multi-color job finishes without a single manual change. Needle speed, color lock and threader disengagement are all adjustable, which matters when you are running metallic or specialty threads.
The built-in threader threads all ten needles at the press of a button. Jump Stitch Thread Trimming clears excess thread between stitch groups on its own, so work comes off the machine clean and ready to sell.
Stitching runs up to 1,000 stitches per minute, and the machine reaches full speed in about 7 seconds while staying quiet.
An 8" x 14" Field, and a 3-Foot Footprint
The 8" x 14" embroidery area takes jacket backs and large home decor pieces in a single hooping, with no rehooping partway through.
Despite that capacity the machine occupies a compact 3-foot footprint, so it fits a spare room as readily as a production floor.
10.1" HD Touchscreen
The 10.1" high-definition LCD touchscreen drives every part of the job. Browse 1,280 built-in designs, 50 fonts and a dedicated 3D puff font directly on screen, with no computer attached.
Editing happens on the same screen: alignment tools, grouping and ungrouping, undo and redo, text editing, and a no-sew tool that skips a color or a section of a design with one tap.
Zoom to 200% to inspect individual stitches, and rotate in 0.01, 1, 10 or 90 degree increments for exact placement.
My Design Center and Matrix Copy
My Design Center is built into the machine, so designs can be drawn and edited on board without a PC. It includes custom drawing, inside and outside auto stippling, and adjustable fill patterns.
Matrix Copy lays out repeat copies of a design automatically for production runs, which means several patches in one hooping and less wasted fabric and time.
Know Where the Design Lands Before You Stitch
Brother-patented InnovEye Technology scans the hooped fabric or garment at high speed and previews placement on screen before the first stitch. It works with the optional cap and cylinder frames for tight spaces.
Virtual Design Preview adds a live camera view of the needle area, showing the design superimposed on the actual fabric so alignment can be corrected before anything is sewn.
Built for a Working Shop
Security Lock Modes let several people share the machine without separate passwords and logins. The Key Optimization System restricts access to chosen functions, which protects house designs and keeps operators on the task in front of them.
A shortcut key jumps straight to the embroidery screen from anywhere in the interface. 33 high-definition tutorial videos are reachable by scanning a QR code that appears on the LCD, and cover basic operation through embroidery functions in roughly 90 minutes.
Apps and Software That Connect to It
The Artspira mobile app works as a portable design studio, connecting wirelessly to compatible Brother embroidery machines, printers and cutting machines so designs move from phone or tablet to machine without a computer.
My Stitch Monitor sends real-time alerts for thread changes, upcoming color changes and finished projects.
For higher volume, optional PE-DESIGN 11 links up to ten PR1060W machines wirelessly from one computer. Optional BE EmbroideryStudio adds full digitizing, with CorelDRAW integrated as a plugin for vector artwork, plus Hand Stitch Effect, Reef PhotoStitch and Photo Flash for photo embroidery.
Four Hoops and a Tubular Frame Table
Four frame sizes ship with the machine: 8" x 14", 5" x 7", 4" x 4" and 1.5" x 2", covering jackets and shirts down to socks and baby clothes. The machine detects which hoop is attached and shows its area on screen.
The included tubular frame table handles sleeves, pant legs and other tubular items, and supports larger fabrics. It attaches and removes with no gap between the machine and the table.
