The SE2000 pairs 241 built-in sewing stitches with 193 embroidery designs on a 5 x 7 inch field, so one machine covers piecing a project and decorating it. A 3.7 inch color touchscreen, wireless design transfer and an automatic needle threader keep both sides of the machine quick to set up.
Wireless design transfer
Built-in wireless LAN receives embroidery files straight from a PC through Brother's Design Database Transfer software, with no USB stick involved. The Artspira app adds the ability to draw your own pattern on a phone or tablet and send it to the machine, and its Stitch Simulator previews how the design will stitch before you commit thread to fabric.
A 5 x 7 inch embroidery field
Choose from 193 built-in designs and 13 embroidery fonts, then edit lettering, zoom, resize, rotate and combine designs on the 3.7 inch color display. Brother's 4 x 7 inch magnetic hoop fits the SE2000 but is sold separately; the 5 x 7 inch (130mm x 180mm) frame set is the one in the box.
241 stitches and custom stitch creation
241 built-in sewing stitches and 10 one-step, auto-size buttonhole styles cover construction and finishing, and My Custom Stitch lets you draw a stitch of your own and save it. Jump Stitch Trimming cuts the thread jumps between embroidery sections so there is less to clean up by hand. Sewing runs up to 850 stitches per minute.
Set up for longer sessions
There is 7.4" from the needle to the arm, which is the measurement that decides how much quilt will physically fit through the machine. A knee lifter raises and lowers the presser foot without taking your hands off the fabric, which matters when feeding that bulk or pivoting corners. Adjustable presser foot leveling helps the foot sit flat when crossing thick seams, and the 7-point feed dog system keeps heavier fabric moving evenly.
