Sewing and embroidery without swapping machines
103 built-in stitches cover construction, stretch and decorative work, with 10 one-step buttonhole styles sized automatically to the button. The embroidery unit attaches when needed and stores away when it is not.
135 designs and a 4 x 4 inch hoop
The machine arrives with 135 built-in embroidery designs and 10 lettering fonts. Maximum embroidery area is 4 x 4 inches, which suits monograms, pockets, towels, bags and children’s clothing.
Color touchscreen editing
A 3.2 x 1.8 inch LCD touchscreen previews the design in color, and edits such as rotating, mirroring and resizing happen on screen before the first stitch goes in.

Does the Brother SE700 sew as well as embroider?
Yes. The SE700 is a sewing and embroidery combination machine with 103 built-in sewing stitches and 135 built-in embroidery designs. The embroidery unit attaches when you need it and comes off when you are sewing, so one machine covers garment construction, repairs and decorative work.
How large a design can the SE700 stitch, and which hoop is included?
The maximum embroidery area is 4" x 4", which suits monograms, pockets, towels, bags and children's clothing. One 4" x 4" embroidery hoop ships in the box. Larger artwork has to be resized to fit, or split across separate hoopings.
How do embroidery designs get onto the machine?
Over wireless LAN, so no cable or USB stick is needed. The Artspira app adds further patterns and lets you draw a design on a phone or tablet and send it straight to the machine. The 3.2" x 1.8" color touchscreen previews each design before the first stitch.
Which presser feet are included with the SE700?
Eight feet ship with the machine: zigzag "J", monogramming "N", overcasting "G", zipper "I", blind stitch "R", button fitting "M", buttonhole "A" and embroidery "Q". That covers everyday construction plus the embroidery foot needed for the hoop.
Can the SE700 do free-motion sewing?
It can. The feed dogs drop so fabric moves freely under the needle, which is also how button attachment is done. Brother sells the Clear Free Motion Foot (SA129) separately for free-motion quilting; one is not included in the box.
What warranty comes with the SE700?
Brother's standard limited warranty is 1 / 2 / 25 years: 1 year on parts, labor and accompanying accessory items, 2 years on electronic components and printed circuit boards with replacement labor excluded, and 25 years on the chassis casting. Quality Sewing adds a 1-Year Quality Sewing Warranty on top.
