QuiltMotion X is the automation system that mounts to any Grace longarm and runs from an app on your tablet. Choose a design, place it in a digital view of your real quilting space, and QMX stitches it out while guiding you through each step.
Every tier ships with the same automation hardware. The tier you pick sets what the software unlocks, not what you own, and moving up later is a software unlock with no new hardware to buy.
Pick, Place, Quilt
Each project follows the same three steps, whichever tier you choose.
1. Pick. Choose a design from the built-in library, the Grace Design Store, or a file you import.
2. Place. Outline your quilting zone on screen. It mirrors your frame one to one, so you see exactly where the design lands before the needle moves.
3. Quilt. Tap start and QMX stitches it out. If the thread breaks, it returns to the exact break point and resumes.
Free-Motion or Automated on the Same Machine
Quick-release belts let you switch between hand-guided free-motion and automation in seconds, no tools required, even in the middle of a project. The carriage drive and control box shown here are the same on every tier.

Every tier includes the Grace Design Library with 10 design credits a month for the included period. After that, additional designs are $10 each or the subscription continues at $19.95 per month. Designs you have already chosen stay in your Grace account either way, and your library syncs to any device with no cables or file transfers.
Works With Every Grace Longarm
QMX fits the Little Rebel, Grace 16X, 16X Elite, 19X Elite, and 21X Elite on the Cutie Breeze, Evolution Hoop, Q-Zone Hoop, Evolution Elite, and Q-Zone Queen frames. Quilting on a domestic machine instead? The QMX Foundations for domestic machines runs the same app on a different hardware platform.
Already Own QuiltMotion?
Current QCT6 owners can trade in their control box for a $2,000 credit toward any QMX tier, and QMX FD owners receive a $500 credit when they step up. Which Grace machines does QMX work with?
All of them. QMX mounts to the Little Rebel, 16X, 16X Elite, 19X Elite, and 21X Elite on any current Grace frame. The automation hardware is the same on every tier, so a later upgrade is software only.
What is the difference between Foundations, Discovery, and Mastery?
The hardware is identical. Foundations covers pantographs, mark and place, and basic block placement. Discovery adds row controls for edge-to-edge quilting, multi-point block placement with sew-in-the-ditch, custom shapes, and stitch path preview. Mastery unlocks full-quilt planning, multi-block sequencing, point-to-point stitching, and fabric compensation.
Can I upgrade to a higher tier later?
Yes. Moving up, even by two tiers, is a software unlock at a separate upgrade price. You never buy the hardware again.
Can I still quilt free-motion with QMX installed?
Yes. Quick-release belts disconnect the automation in seconds without tools, so you can switch between hand-guided and automated quilting in the middle of a project.
What happens when the thread breaks mid-design?
QMX records where it stopped, navigates back to the exact break point, and resumes from there. Bobbin changes and pauses work the same way.
I own QCT6. Can I trade it in?
