Frame-Supported Quilting on the Table You Already Have
The Handi Quilter FreeWay is a fold-away quilting frame that turns an ordinary table into a free-motion quilting station. It works with many domestic sewing machines that can drop their feed dogs. When the quilt is finished, the frame folds down and stores away.
Setup is quick and easy. The frame pins are magnetized and stick to the frame itself, so they stay where you left them instead of disappearing into a drawer. The comfort-grip handlebars adjust to suit your height and reach, and an assortment of quilt clamps is included. Assembly needs no special tools.
Size and Machine Fit
The frame gives you a 24" x 48" quilting space and has an overall footprint of 50" long by 32" deep, so it sits on a dining or work table without taking over the room. The carriage accommodates most domestic sewing machine sizes with footprints up to 10.5" wide by 19.5" long, with a needleplate no higher than 5.6".
Compare the FreeWay against the rest of our quilting frames and systems to see where it sits on size, price, and the machines it runs. Quilters who later want more throat space and a purpose-built quilting head tend to move up to a Handi Quilter longarm.
