Janome AirThread AT2000D: Air Threading Serger with Built-In Needle Threader

Janome AirThread AT2000D Serger

One-Push Air Threading

The Janome AirThread AT2000D threads both upper and lower loopers with air. Insert thread into the ports and push a lever. The thread travels to where it needs to be without manual threading through the looper paths.

Janome AT2000D needle threader and threading system

Built-In Needle Threader

A Janome first: the built-in needle threader handles both right and left needle positions. Combined with air threading for the loopers, the AT2000D eliminates the most frustrating parts of serger setup.

Janome AT2000D 8-piece feed dog system

8-Piece Feed Dog System

Feed dogs in eight locations grab and move fabric evenly. The system handles everything from slinky knits to denim without stretching or puckering.

Janome AT2000D one-step converter

One-Step 2/3 Thread Converter

Switch from 3-thread to 2-thread by flipping the built-in converter into position. Use 2-thread for delicate rolled hems or to reduce bulk in overlock edges.

Integrated Adjustment Dials

Stitch length (1.0–5.0mm) and differential feed (0.5–2.0mm) share one dual-function dial. Adjust stitch length while sewing. Differential feed prevents puckering, controls stretch, and creates gathering effects.

Right-Side Adjustments

Cutting width, upper knife release, and rolled hem lever are grouped on the right side of the sewing bed. Access all fine adjustments from one location without reaching around the machine.

Additional Features

  • Wide sewing bed: 4.65" in front of the needle, 5.59" behind, 9.67" deep
  • Easy lay-in threading: Slide-and-go thread guides for the upper tension discs
  • Adjustable foot pressure: Accommodate different fabrics and accessory feet
  • Ball bearing main shaft: Low torque for stability at high speeds
  • Three safety micro-switches: Located in side cover, looper cover, and presser foot bar
