Laundry Basket Quilts Special Edition with a 13.7 Inch Quilting Workspace
The Janome Continental M6 Laundry Basket Quilts Special Edition is the Continental M6 finished in Edyta Sitar’s artwork, with 400 built-in stitches up to 9mm wide, a 13.7 inch workspace to the right of the needle and sewing speeds to 1,300 stitches per minute. It is a full-size quilting machine rather than a decorated compact.

13.7 Inches of Space and AcuFeed Feeding
13.7 inches to the right of the needle is enough to move a full quilt rather than wrestle it, and the AcuFeed system drives the fabric from above as well as below so a quilt sandwich does not shift as it feeds. Ruler work mode and a variable zig-zag for free-motion quilting are built in.

400 Stitches and 12 Sensor Buttonholes
There are 400 built-in stitches up to 9mm wide, including 5 alphabets, and 12 sensor buttonholes that measure the button and size the buttonhole for you. Stitch tapering shapes the start and end of a decorative run, and combinations of up to 100 stitches can be stored.

7 Inch Touchscreen and Automatic Setup
A 7 inch color LCD touchscreen handles stitch selection and settings, with 91 needle positions and an automatic tension system. Automatic presser foot lift, automatic thread cutting and one-touch needle plate conversion take the fiddly steps out of changing between piecing and free-motion work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is different about the Laundry Basket Quilts edition?
Mechanically it is the Continental M6. What changes is the Edyta Sitar artwork created with Laundry Basket Quilts, in a limited special edition finish. The 400 stitches, 13.5 inch workspace, AcuFeed feeding and 7 inch touchscreen are all the same.
How much quilting space does it have?
There is 13.5 inches to the right of the needle with 5.5 inches of height, which takes a full-size quilt rather than a lap quilt. The machine itself is 25.6 by 14.6 by 10.2 inches and weighs 38.4 lbs, so it is a machine for a dedicated table rather than a class.
How many stitches and buttonholes does it have?
There are 400 built-in stitches up to 9mm wide, including 5 alphabets, and 12 sensor buttonholes that measure the button for you. Stitch tapering shapes the start and end of a decorative run, and combinations of up to 100 stitches can be stored and recalled.
What does AcuFeed do for quilting?
AcuFeed drives the fabric from above as well as from below rather than relying on the feed dogs alone. On a quilt sandwich that stops the top layer creeping ahead of the backing, which is what causes puckers and drifted seams on long straight runs.
Is it set up for ruler work and free-motion quilting?
Yes. There is a dedicated ruler work mode and a variable zig-zag for free-motion quilting, plus drop feed, foot pressure adjustment and automatic one-touch needle plate conversion so changing between piecing and free-motion does not mean hunting for a screwdriver.
What warranty comes with it?
Janome covers mechanical components for 25 years, electrical components for 5 years and labor for 1 year, and Quality Sewing adds a 1-Year Quality Sewing Warranty. Compare it against every quilting machine we stock.
