Janome CoverPro 1000CPX: Dedicated Coverstitch Machine
The Janome CoverPro 1000CPX supports 1, 2, or 3 needle configurations with the Seam Tightening System for flat, secure seams at up to 1,000 SPM. An extra-large bed, adjustable differential feed, and dual voltage handle knit hems through heavy garment construction.
Three Stitch Configurations
Select from 1-needle 2-thread chain stitch, 2-needle 3-thread cover stitch in standard or narrow width, or 3-needle 4-thread triple cover stitch. That gives you the right stitch for hemming, seaming, topstitching, and decorative applications on knits and wovens.
Seam Tightening System and Extra-Large Bed
The proprietary Seam Tightening System pulls stitches tighter for flatter, more defined seams that look like ready-to-wear construction. The 4" x 5.5" bed space provides room to maneuver bulky garments, quilts, and home decor projects without cramping.
Differential Feed and Stitch Control
Differential feed adjusts from 0.5 to 2.25 to prevent stretching on knits or create intentional gathering effects. Stitch length ranges from 1.0mm to 4.0mm, and stitch width options include 6mm standard, 3mm narrow, or 6mm triple needle (3mm + 3mm).
Threading and Setup
Manual thread tension dials with a built-in threading chart printed on the machine simplify the learning curve. A quick-reference sticker shows stitch selection at a glance. Snap-on presser feet change without tools, and adjustable foot pressure with guide markings adapts to different fabric weights.
Portability and Power
At 19 lbs. the 1000CPX is portable enough to bring to classes or workshops. Dual voltage (80v to 240v) means it works internationally without a converter. The machine sews at up to 1,000 SPM with a vertical needle drop for precise stitch placement on every pass.
