Janome MyLock 634D: 2/3/4 Thread Overlock Serger
The Janome MyLock 634D is a 2-needle serger with 2, 3, or 4 thread overlock at up to 1,300 SPM. Color-coded threading, differential feed, and rolled hemming without a plate change make it a practical choice for garment finishing and decorative edges.
Color-Coded Threading and Lower Looper System
Color-coded thread guides mark each thread path clearly from spool to stitch. The easy lower looper threading system removes the most frustrating part of serger setup. Lay-in tension dials and a tension release device make thread loading quick and repeatable.
Differential Feed and Cutting Width Control
Differential feed adjusts from 0.5 to 2.25, preventing stretching on knits and gathering on lightweight fabrics. Cutting width ranges from 3.1mm to 7.3mm, giving you control over seam allowance trimming for different fabric weights and project types.
Rolled Hemming Without a Plate Change
Switch to rolled hemming without removing the needle plate. A pre-tension slider on the faceplate toggles between standard and rolled hem tension settings in one motion. This saves time when alternating between overlock finishing and narrow rolled hems on scarves, napkins, or ruffles.
Retractable Upper Knife
The retractable upper knife disengages when you need to serge without trimming fabric. This is useful for finishing pre-cut edges, attaching flat trims, or any situation where the blade would remove material you need to keep.
Speed and Stitch Adjustability
The 634D runs up to 1,300 SPM with stitch length adjustable from 1mm to 5mm. Pattern selection dials with a stitch information display show your current settings at a glance. Snap-on presser feet swap without tools, and the adjustable foot pressure knob adapts to different fabric thicknesses.
Easy Maintenance Access
The 634D provides access to internal mechanical components without unscrewing the faceplate. This makes routine dusting, cleaning, and oiling straightforward, which helps keep the machine running reliably over time. A waste chip box collects trimmed fabric scraps and keeps your workspace clean.
