Match the System, Not Just the Size

Sergers are less forgiving than sewing machines about needle systems, so it's important to get the right type for your machine. Check your manual for the system your machine takes before choosing between type A, E and J.

All three are size 80/12, the weight for quilting cotton, shirting, light denim and most wovens you would overlock. Klasse holds tight tolerances on point geometry and shank diameter, which matters more at serger speeds than it does on a domestic machine.
