Hidden Magnetic Closures for Bags and Pouches
A magnetic snap gives a bag a closure that opens with one hand and stays shut on its own. The prongs sit behind the outer fabric, so nothing shows from the front and the finished bag reads as store-bought rather than homemade. Each set includes two 3/4in snaps with all prongs and washers.
Set the snaps before the lining goes in, while you can still reach both sides of the panel: mark the slots with the washer, cut them, push the prongs through, and fold them flat. Add a scrap of interfacing behind each snap so the magnet does not pull through the fabric over time.
Four finishes: Gold | Nickel | Gunmetal | Antique. Match the snap to the zippers, feet, and rings on the bag; nickel is the safe default for cool-toned hardware, gold suits warm leathers, gunmetal keeps dark bags understated, and antique reads softer on vintage-style makes.
