Hoop the Stabilizer, Not the Garment
StabilStick carries a light adhesive coating on one side. You hoop the stabilizer on its own, score the paper release, peel it back and press the item onto the exposed adhesive. Collars, cuffs, napkin corners, pockets and anything too small or too rigid to clamp can then be embroidered without ever going into the hoop itself.
Both versions are medium weight with the same adhesive backing, and the difference is how the excess comes away. TearAway suits tightly woven, non-stretch fabrics and tears cleanly from around the design. CutAway is trimmed with scissors and stays behind the stitches, supporting knits, stretch denim and anything that moves during wear. CutAway also doubles as a stiffener for freestanding applique.
Which one to pick
