Precision Cutting Without the Slip
Quilters Select rulers use a textured non-slip coating on the underside that holds the ruler against fabric while you cut. There is nothing to stick on and nothing to wear out, so the grip behaves the same on cotton, batting and slippery backing fabrics.
The markings are printed to be read against fabric rather than against a mat. Lines fall at 1/8in, 1/4in, 1/2in, 3/4in and 1in, with 30, 45 and 90 degree angles for triangles and bias cuts. Two sets of numbers run around the perimeter, one reading left to right and one right to left, so the ruler works the same whichever hand you cut with.
Choosing a size
Squares from 2.5in to 12.5in handle block trimming and squaring up, while the 12in, 18in, 24in and 36in lengths cover strip cutting and yardage.
