Bernina Overlock Sole #2
The Bernina Overlock Sole #2 gives you serger-style seams and edge finishes on a standard sewing machine. It is especially well suited for neatening raw edges, sewing overlock seams on stretch fabrics, and creating flat, elastic finishes that move with the material.
How the Pin Creates Elastic Seams
A small pin on the inside edge of the foot feeds extra thread into each stitch. This prevents the fabric from bunching up and produces a flat seam with enough stretch to handle knit and elastic materials. The result looks and functions like a serged edge, all without a separate overlock machine.
