The ScanNCut SDX125E is a standalone cutting machine with a built-in 600 DPI scanner and an Auto Blade that reads material thickness and sets itself. It cuts fabric, felt, foam and cardstock up to 3mm thick, and arrives with 682 designs already on board.
Scan and cut in one step
The 600 DPI built-in scanner reads a hand-drawn sketch or a printed design and turns it into a cut file, up to 11.7 inches wide. Scan-to-cut detection handles outlines, filled regions and thin lines, and the Auto Blade sets itself to the material rather than asking you to pick a setting.
A 5 inch touchscreen, and no computer needed
The SDX125E works on its own. Designs are chosen, edited and cut from the 5 inch LCD touchscreen straight out of the box. When you would rather design on a PC or tablet, it connects wirelessly to Brother CanvasWorkspace, and there is a direct USB connection as well.
Built for quilters, not just paper crafts
A built-in seam allowance setting is the feature that separates this from a craft cutter. It cuts fabric, felt and foam up to 3mm thick with the included Auto Blade, which makes it practical for quilt piecing and garment work. The optional Thin Fabric Auto Blade handles raw-edge applique.
682 designs in the box, and room for longer cuts
There are 682 built-in designs, including 100 quilt patterns, plus 76 bonus SVG files, so it is usable before you have sourced a single outside file. With the optional roll feeder, cutting extends to 12 x 70.2 inches for banners and long runs.
