Industry-Leading Sewing Space
The M7 offered the largest sewing space available on any household machine: 13.5 inches of clearance to the right of the needle, with a total work area of 17.81 inches. The needle/needle plate section provided more than 3 inches of space, and bright white LED lighting illuminated the entire area without shadows. The included extension table (26.77" x 15.75") added even more workspace, complete with a built-in drawer for storing accessories.

7" HD Color Touchscreen
The large color touchscreen displays all the information needed for any project. Select stitches and save favorites for quick access. The Sewing Applications feature provides guidance for various techniques, including those using optional accessories. Built-in tools include the Quilt Block Advisor for calculating cutting dimensions and 52 Hand Stitch Style stitches that mimic hand-sewn work. An on-screen clock keeps track of time across all screens.

400 Built-In Stitches
The M7 included 400 stitches, 13 buttonhole styles, and eight monogramming fonts. Stitch Composer software allowed users to create custom stitch patterns and transfer them via the built-in USB port. Janome included 23 presser feet and accessories with the machine.

Stitch Composer
The Stitch Composer program lets you create original stitch patterns from scratch. Design stitches on your computer and transfer them to the machine through the USB port. Your stitch library grows with every pattern you create.
The Continental M7 combined the largest sewing area in the industry with a 7" HD touchscreen positioned for easy access. Computerized needle plate removal, the SFS-i intelligent feed system, and integrated AcuFeed Flex Plus made sewing faster and more accurate. The brushless DC motor delivered the power needed for heavy fabrics and high-speed sewing.
Janome Continental M7 Features

High Needle Penetration Power
- The M7's motor delivers strong needle force for heavy fabrics like canvas and home dec materials. The redesigned brushless motor provides the strength, reliability, and durability expected from Janome machines.

1300 Stitches Per Minute
- The Continental M7 was the fastest drop-in bobbin home sewing machine available. The DC brushless motor reaches 1300 SPM while maintaining stability. A full metal frame and Janome's vibration suppression system keep stitching smooth at any speed.

Computerized One-Touch Needle Plate
- Press a button on the screen and the needle plate lifts automatically for removal. The replacement plate drops into place without snapping. The M7 includes three needle plates for different applications.

SFS-i Intelligent Feed System
- The SFS-i keeps feed dogs lowered while positioning fabric, then raises them automatically when sewing begins. This makes it easier to start seams exactly where intended.

AcuSpark App
- Scan a QR code on the machine's screen to get help with any stitch, setting, or function through the AcuSpark app on your phone or tablet. The app also displays illustrated guides for standard and optional accessories.

AcuFeed Flex Plus
- AcuFeed Flex Plus is fully integrated into the machine with its own motor. All adjustments are made through the touchscreen, providing precise control over fabric feeding for better accuracy with multiple layers.

Quilt Block Advisor
- Input your desired block size and the Quilt Block Advisor calculates cutting dimensions with seam allowances. Works with traditional patterns including Nine Patch, Log Cabin, and Baby Blocks.

52 Hand Stitch Style Stitches
- These 52 stitches are designed to look hand-sewn. The machine varies stitch placement slightly to replicate the look of traditional handwork.

On-Screen Clock
- A clock displays on all screens and keeps time even when the machine is turned off.

Optical Bobbin Sensor
- The Optical Bobbin Monitoring System tracks thread supply while sewing and alerts you when the bobbin runs low, before you reach the end of a seam.

Free Motion Quilting
- Adjust the foot height for different projects: higher for lofty quilts with thick batting, lower for more fabric drag. Save your preferred settings to recall later.

Ruler Quilting
- Engage Ruler Work mode in Sewing Applications and use the Ruler Work foot (QR) to follow precision templates. Achieve consistent quilting results that were previously only possible on longarm machines.

HP and HP2 Professional Feet
- These narrow-gauge industrial-style feet provide precise control for curves and topstitching. Sized for accurate 1/4" seams with clear visibility on any fabric type.

Variable ZigZag
- Control stitch width using the knee lift while sewing. Variable ZigZag works for thread painting, raw edge applique, free motion monogramming, and other creative techniques.

Stitch Tapering
- Adjust stitches at 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 degree angles for borders and decorative effects. This function works with 41 built-in stitches.

Independent Bobbin Winding Motor
- Wind bobbins while sewing without stopping or unthreading the machine. The separate bobbin motor operates independently from the main sewing motor.
