Juki MO-654DE: Portable Serger with Professional Edge Finishing
The Juki MO-654DE handles 2, 3, and 4 thread configurations for overlock stitching, flatlock seams, and rolled hems. Color-coded threading paths, easy looper access, and one-rotation tension dials make setup straightforward. The differential feed controls fabric stretch, while the heavy-duty knife system cuts cleanly through light and heavy materials. This portable serger adds professional finishing techniques to garment construction, home decor, and craft projects.
Color-Coded Threading System
Each thread path is color-coded with clearly marked guides from spool to looper. The lower looper threader disengages so you can slide the thread into the slot and snap the looper back into place. Threading takes seconds instead of minutes.
One-Rotation Tension Dials
The tension dials rotate once from minimum to maximum, with normal settings highlighted. This makes tension adjustment predictable and repeatable. Thread guides keep threads seated properly at all sewing speeds.
Flip-and-Roll Hemming
Switch to rolled hemming with a flip of a lever. No needle plate changes, no foot swaps. The conversion is instant, so you can roll edges on napkins, scarves, and ruffles without stopping to reconfigure the machine.
Differential Feed Control
The differential feed dial adjusts how the front and rear feed dogs move fabric. Prevent stretching on knits, ease in fullness on wovens, or create lettuce edges on lightweight fabrics for decorative effects.
Heavy-Duty Knife System
The dedicated knife drive cuts consistently through both lightweight silks and heavy denim. The cutting width dial adjusts quickly to create narrow or wide seam allowances and rolled edge widths.
Multi-Purpose Presser Foot
The included multipurpose foot handles standard overlocking plus tape, elastic, ribbon, and sequin application. Snap-on foot changes let you switch to specialty Juki feet for additional techniques.
Built-In Seam Guide
The seam guide on the guard cover shows seam allowance markings so you can maintain consistent widths without measuring. Accurate seam allowances become automatic as you guide fabric along the marked gauge.
Stitch Length Adjustment
The stitch length dial changes settings for different thread weights and stitch techniques. Shorter stitches for satin-like rolled hems, longer stitches for basting or decorative flatlock work.
