The Bernina Q16 Plus with Folding Table is a sit-down longarm quilting machine with 16.5 inches of throat space, the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR), and a folding table that sets up in minutes without tools. The Q16 Plus gives quilters more room than a domestic machine while keeping a compact footprint that works in smaller studios. 16.5" Throat Space with Bernina Stitch Regulator
The 16.5-inch throat space provides significantly more room than a standard domestic machine, making free-motion quilting smoother and less restrictive. Quilt tops that would normally bunch up in a domestic throat fit comfortably here.
The Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) maintains consistent stitch length regardless of how fast or slowly you move the fabric. Three BSR modes give you flexibility for different quilting styles, and the dual BSR sensors are mounted below the machine for accurate tracking.
Color Touchscreen and Digital Tension
The color touchscreen interface provides access to machine settings, built-in tutorials, and stitch adjustments. Numeric digital tension control gives you precise, repeatable tension settings for different thread and fabric combinations.
A forward-positioned threading path keeps the threading process quick and accessible. The integrated bobbin winder means you don't need a separate winding station. The Q16 Plus is also compatible with Bernina free-motion feet.
Folding Table with Adjustable Height
The included folding table measures 36" x 45" and sets up in minutes with no tools required. Fabrics glide across the smooth surface during quilting. When you're done, the table folds down for space-saving storage.
The legs adjust manually to three heights: 28", 30", or 32". This lets you find a comfortable seated position for extended quilting sessions.
Pantograph and Q-matic Ready
A rear interface on the Q16 Plus allows connection to a pantograph system or the Bernina Q-matic automation system. This means you can upgrade your quilting setup over time, starting with free-motion on the table and adding automated pattern capabilities later.
Studio Frame Compatible
The Q16 Plus can also be mounted on the Bernina Studio Frame for a standing quilting setup. The Q20 is compatible with the same frame, so you can start with the Q16 Plus and scale up without replacing your frame investment.
